The CEOs of Aruba and Ducati: "a derisive finale, Chaz Davies deserved 2nd place"

Domenicali and Cecconi: Kawasaki unsporting

Stefano Cecconi, CEO of Aruba and the Ducati Team Principal in Superbike is not concealing his displeasure for the way in which the championship finished.

"There's a certain disappointment for the derisive finale that saw Chaz relegated to third place, despite him being the rider to have won the most races this season, but we can't be unsatisfied of course. This championship has brought great results for us, and we're definitely ready to aim for the ultimate target".

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was even more direct.

"The final race saw Chaz score his sixth consecutive win, which brought him so very close to second place in the championship. He lost out by just two points, due to questionable and clearly unsporting behaviour by his Kawasaki rivals, Rea and Sykes, in the final lap of the race".
