Marquez: ready for the podium, not sure about the win

Missing out on the front row is not a big problem for Marc Marquez, as it was more important for him to get back on his bike after gastroenteritis stopped him yesterday afternoon.

Tpday I'm OK, though I must have drunk at least 4 litres of water - he jokes after qualifying - I'm not in perfect shape yet, but I'm doing better than yesterday and the doctors tell me that tomorrow I'll feel better still”.

Having missed yesterday's wet session, the Spaniard wasn't immediately comfortable today.

Despite everything, in the final practice, in the wet, I didn't do badly - he recounts - But for qualifying  we risked making some changes to the bike, also to clarify our ideas after having missed out on a session. Unfortunately I felt worse on the bike, for tomorrow we'll go back to what we had before. All things considered, the second row is not disastrous”.

Like most of the riders, he too would prefer a dry race, though he doesn't know exactly what to expect.

In those conditions I know I can be fast for one lap, but it's difficult to say what my potential is, or that of my rivals - he explains - Also tyre wear is an unknown. I'd say I can fight for the podium, but I don't know if the win is possible”.

Lastly, Marc gives his opinion on the changes to the final corner.

It's easy to mess up corner entry, if you push a little too hard in braking you'll go wide” he concludes.
