Stefan Bradl’s eighth place at Phillip Island in qualifying is the best result yet for Aprilia in MotoGP. This is confirmation that the RS-GP is growing in the final part of this season.

FP3 had already gone well for us - the German recounts - Going straight through to Q2 really helped. In qualifying, I started straight away with the intermediates because I thought that it was going to start raining, but it didn’t, so I put on slicks.”

The Australian weather requires the skills of a strategist.

“The conditions have been unbelievable - he continues – For tomorrow it is impossible to say what will happen. The weather will be key: we will need to know how to adapt quickly and the warmup session will be very important. In the race, anything could happen. No one has managed to gain experience on tyres and setup.”

One thing is certain: Aprilia is getting better and better.
