Rossi: "I feel strong and ready to win"

Arithmetic dictates that he's still in with a shot but he prefers not to think about the gap from Marc Marquez. After finishing third at Aragon, Valentino Rossi wants to end the season on a high. The first test comes at Motegi, a track where the Doctor finished ahead of team-mate Lorenzo last year. The Yamaha rider is more than ready for the Japanese race weekend: “I particularly enjoy the triple-header because we race at fantastic tracks where, at least on paper, Yamaha is very strong”.

#46 is making no calculations, because he already has a clear goal in mind: “I feel strong and ready for these last three races in which I want to win – he underlines – Motegi is Yamaha's home race, so I hope to be able to achieve a great result”.

Jorge Lorenzo wants to carry out down the path of continuity. His second place finish three weeks ago was definitely a confidence boost for the Majorcan, who now aims for something more: “This is one of the most exciting moments of the season – reveals #99 – we'll take on three consecutive races, something that requires great physical and mental effort”.

The Japanese track is one of the Spaniard's favourites: “I really like this track, and have great memories of the place – he adds – it's a special race for Yamaha and so it would be great to get back to the highest step of the rostrum here. The championship's not over yet, so we must avoid making mistakes and stay competitive right to the very end of the season”.
