Following his crash in FP1, the Italian rider will not take part in the San Marino Grand Prix

Andrea Iannone will not race at Misano

The Misano Grand Prix is over for Andrea Iannone after just four laps. The Italian will not be able to continue riding his Ducati this weekend, having fractured his D3 vertebra and been transferred to Cesena hospital for a CAT scan.

It is not yet known how serious his injury is, but Andrea will be unable to continue with the weekend's racing.

Iannone will probably need to rest for a couple of weeks, but an exact recovery time is not known as yet.
