Suspected fracture of D2 vertebra for Iannone

Andrea Iannone has been taken by helicopter to Cesena hospital where he will have a CAT scan of his neck. After initial tests at the Misano circuit's medical centre, it is believed he may have fractured his D2 vertebra.

It is not yet clear how serious the damage is and further tests are therefore required. In the best case scenario, Andrea may be able to race, or he may need a period of rest or maybe even surgery.

We will provide an update as soon as we have further information.
