Michelin: new front tyre for Misano

Michelin will be bringing some new tyres to Misano for the San Marino Grand Prix. The MotoGP riders will be able to make use of a new front tyre, a small evolution of that used until now and already tested by some of the teams during recent tests at the Italian track.

The new profile should improve stability in braking and through the corners and will be available with a soft and medium compound, while the hard will have the standard profile. In terms of rear tyres, Michelin will offer one medium and one hard solution, both asymmetric with a harder right shoulder.

With regard to rain tyres, there are two solutions, soft and medium, for the both front and rear.

“We have recently had some riders test at Misano, so we have some up-to-date information that we were able to use as we prepared the tyres for the weekend - explained manager Piero Taramasso - The new front tyre was developed from this test at Misano and will be used at the upcoming GP".
