Poncharal: Smith could race at Aragon

Bradley Smith, although injured, did not have to miss his home race. The Tech3 rider is at Silverstone and moving around the paddock on crutches. The crash in the Oschersleben 8 Hours had serious consequences and the Brit suffered an injured ligament in his right knee. However, his return to the Yamaha M1 may not be too far off.

We need to wait until Monday evening, when the doctors will give us some definitive answers - explains Tech3 patron Hervé Poncharal - Bradley has been to several specialists and we are optimistic: he could be back racing already by the Aragon GP. It is a concrete possibility.

However, this does not mean that all the problems are solved.

“He will most likely need surgery, but he could do that in the winter - the French manager continues – The type of injury could allow him to ride and finish out the season. For the moment, I can confirm that Alex Lowes will sub for him at Misano as well. Next week we will know when Smith will be able to race again.
