The Rimini Racing Shot contest is back, an award reserved for photographers accredited at MotoGP

A photo contest dedicated to Misano

Once again, this year the best photographers in the Motorcycle Grand Prix Racing championship will compete in the Rimini Racing Shot contest, an international photo contest organized by the Minicipality of Rimini in collaboration with Nikon Italy and Dorna. The contest is open to all professional photographers accredited at MotoGP and the best finalist works will be displayed in an exhibition at the foyer of Rimini's historic theatre, Teatro Galli, from 3 to 11 September 2016.

The theme of the 2016 edition is the Marco Simoncelli Misano circuit, and participants will have to tell the story of the track's 40-year history through their images. Shots will therefore be accepted that have been taken at the Misano track, no matter from what year. Also, outside of the contest, a symbolic prize will be awarded for the “most fortunate” shot.

The finalist photographs will be published on the contest Facebook page for public voting, whereas  a six-member judging panel will decide the winner who will receive a Nikon D500 camera. The social prize will be decided by the photo with the most 'likes'.

To participate, images must be sent to [email protected] by Sunday, 28 August in JPG or TIFF, 300 dpi, RGB format. Each photograph must be accompanied by a caption in Word format including the name and surname of the photographer, photo title and date of the shot. Up to 4 photos by each photographer will be accepted.
