Marquez Alarm: bad crash to avoid Pedrosa

Marc Marquez was involved in an incredible accident at the beginning of FP3. While on the track behind Dani Pedrosa he went long, as did his teammate. At that point, in order to avoid Dani, the world champion stood up his Honda and was therefore unable to stop it, braking and going straight on.

The move ended in a bad crash, during which the Spaniard suffered a dislocated left shoulder. This is a problem Marc is accustomed to, so much that he carried out the manoeuvre to reset it right there beside the track.

Back in pit lane, Marques was joined by Doctor Zasa from the Mobile Clinic. He will obviously not complete the session while waiting to learn the actual severity of the injury.

Currently Marquez holds the fifth best time ahead of Rossi and behind Dovizioso, Iannone and Viñales, so he is not at risk of not going through to Q2. Team Principal Livio Suppo is with him.

We will provide further information as it becomes available.
