MotoGP, Pirro in Austria: I'll try to be as fast as Stoner

Pirro in Austria: I'll try to be as fast as Stoner

Even if  Stoner will not be there, as many had hoped, there will still be three official Ducatis racing in the Austrian GP. The third GP16 will be entrusted to test rider Michele Pirro, fresh from a double win in the CIV championship last week astride the Panigale SBK.

The tester from Puglia was at the Red Bull Ring for the July tests as well, although he was only able to get a few laps in, taking turns on Casey's bike. They were enough for him to familiarize himself with the track where he will be racing in a few days.

“I had a good feeling straight away on the new Austrian track, even if I was only able to take a few laps without changing Casey's settings - Pirro specified - It is definitely a track that suits the Ducati well and the Michelin tyres will play a crucial role, especially in the second half of the race. I am coming from two great races on the Ducati Panigale Superbike and I feel good from every point of view. The enthusiasm of the fans is the greatest joy and in this race I'll try to be as fast as Stoner.
