More change is in the wind for Team Platinum Bay-Real Estate, with another new rider beginning at the Austrian race. The first change in the Fiorenzo Caponera line-up came in June when Danny Webb replaced Karel Hanika. The Brit raced on the Mahindra in the Netherlands and Germany and now he will leave his spot to Marcos Ramirez.
The Spaniard from Conil de La Frontera will be 19 years old on 16 September and he currently races astride a KTM for team Leopard Junior Stratos in the CEV championship. He is second in the overall standings at the moment and has won two races this year.
“I am truly very happy – said Ramirez – this is a big step forward for me in my career and now my dream of being on the track with the best riders in the world has finally come true. Team Platinum Bay has given me an incredible opportunity and I really wish to thank Fiorenzo Caponera very much for this chance that I consider to be decisive for my career. I will give one hundred percent in the next nine rounds of the Championship in Moto3. In any case, I must also thank Ricard Jové and Manel Bernat for allowing me to take advantage of this chance and the LS2 helmet brand that has always believed in me over the years.”
