Gramigni and Yamaha launch 'Old School Racing'

On 11 July at the Mugello racetrack in Italy, Alessandro Gramigni, 125 world champion in 1992 and Italian SBK champion in 2004, presented ‘Old School Racing’, a new programme of track riding courses arranged in collaboration with Promo Racing.

Yamaha Motor Europe's Italian subsidiary, long since active in the organisation of training projects for speed enthusiasts, is an official partner, supporting this new school that will take place at an international level, using YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 bikes that were born for the track, with their unique style and cutting-edge technology and performance, both indisputable stars during recent decades of international Supersport racing.

With the support of other riders with whom he's shared recent and past adventures, such as Luca Cadalora, Mattia Pasini and Gianluca Nannelli, the brilliant Gramigni outlined the details of the new project that, in coming months, will take in various European tracks (Mugello, Misano, Jerez and Valencia), inviting along all those track fans who want to improve their racing performance and bike set-up knowledge.

The ‘Old School Racing’, thanks to the extensive experience that Gramigni has gained over 25 years of international racing, will teach those who sign up how to improve their lap times and, more generally, the best approach to adopt on track. There are two types of course (maximum of ten participants per course), with a one-day or two-day option, both offering theoretical sessions in the classroom with photos and videos, and track sessions with technical and practical analysis and personal advice offered by “Gram”.
