Alex Rins wil join Andrea Iannone on the Suzuki team's factory GSX-R bikes next season. The official press release was issued today, confirming an agreement that will last two years, so for 2017 and 2018.

The Hamamatsu team will thus change both its riders for next season and Aleix Espargarò, as had already been implied at Barcelona, will have to change bikes.

Alex Rins is 20 years old and is currently leading the Moto2 championship, having scored two race wins so far. He is considered one of the most promising and talented youngsters and team manager Davide Brivio wants him to take the same path as Vinales, who came in with Suzuki as a rookie and exits the team as one of the category's top riders.

This is surely a dream for Rins, because the Spaniard was in talks with various teams but wanted a factory ride. Exactly what he's got for next season.

At this point, almost all of the factory seats are taken, bar one in Aprilia, with Aleix Espargarò and Alvaro Bautista in contention.
