Rabat undergoes shoulder surgery

Tito Rabat has already left the Universitario Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona and returned home after undergoing surgery on the shoulder he injured at Mugello. The Spanish rider sustained a fracture-dislocation of the sternoclavicular joint in his left shoulder during the third free practice session.

The medical team, directed by Xavier Mir and Victor Marlet, operated to stabilise the fracture with a titanium plate, secured with eight titanium screws. The operation took 90 minutes.

Rabat has already begun the rehabilitation process and will undergo further tests in the coming days, after which a decision will be made as to when he can return to racing.
