Monza: one week until the management decision

The date is fixed for Wednesday 27 April. One more week before the Partner's Meeting, during which a decision will be made as to the future of the SIAS managers, SIAS being the company tasked with managing the Monza Circuit. It is expected that the meeting will result in Andrea Dell’Orto's suspension, following the resignations, earlier in April, of Ivan Capelli and Enrico Radaelli from the Board. It seems that the number one may have reached the end of the line, despite having stated during a press conference ten days ago that: "I have no intention of resigning".

Also coming into question is the contract renewal with Ecclestone for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, though Dell'Orto seems to believe that the difficulties related to the previous administration, and was clear in stating:SIAS hasn't been involved in the negotiations since September, the matter lies solely in the hands of the ACI, represented by Sticchi Damiani”.

Meanwhile, with regard to the Superbikes return to Monza, he clarified: “No-one would have imagined that I would be tearing up the agreement with DORNA, we underestimated the time frame for the work, but it will happen in 2017."
