Phillip Island is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful tracks in the world, both in terms of its layout and its spectacular ocean backdrop. The good news is that MotoGP and SBK will be stopping off in Australia for another 10 years.

Circuit bosses, the Victoria Government and Dorna have come to an agreement that ensures Phillip Island will host the prototype class until 2026 and the production-derived series until 2027.

The GP championship has raced at the Island since 2007, but the first edition was actually back in 1998; two years later the Grand Prix relocated to Eastern Creek for 6 editions. The first time the Superbikes visited the Island was in 1992.
