Dovizioso: limiting the wings isn't fair

Capirossi spoke about it a few days ago, having analysed images of the contact between the winglet of Iannone's Ducati and Marquez's back during the opening stages of the Argentinian GP.

Loris went to the Ducati garage to examine the aerodynamic appendage and try to understand whether it could become dangerous in the case of an accident.

Andrea Dovizioso returned to the subject at Austin: “it's right to talk about safety and I agree with the wings undergoing a sort of crash test. I don't think they can harm anyone though as they are very fragile”.

So why all the recent attention?

It’s clear that our rivals are trying to limit us because we have invested a lot in this ara and are now further ahead than them in this respect - responded Dovi - I don't think it's fair anyway, as once the regulation is in place it should be respected, current rules shouldn't be changed”.
