Pernat: Impossible not to love him

Carlo Pernat was extremely close to Marco Simoncelli, and shared a lot with him even away from the world of racing.  The veteran manager was inspired by Sic's youthful energy and enthusiasm.  He chose to remember him with these words:

"We have lost a rider from a bygone era, one who was very mature despite his young age - an emotional Pernat said - Happy, radiant, full of life, always available and loved by everyone."

"He was a great rider, and he really began to take off in 2008, thanks also to his wonderful family.  They risked a lot to help him, and it paid off.  Even Nakamoto, vice-president of HRC, was in love with Marco. He wanted to present this most recent contract, three weeks ago, to him in person.  One spoke Japanese and the other Italian, but they understood each other well."
