Rossi's hot karting summer

Saturday, 21 August 2010 14:14 by rm

Now we are starting to understand why Valentino Rossi struggled with his London "exile", and was always returning home to the Riviera Romagnola... there was simply too much fun to be missed.  Like the millions of holiday travelers who visit Cattolina, Misano and Riccione every year, Rossi is making the most of the summer months, having some good, clean fun.

So this is how he spent the night of the 18th, as reported by "Il Resto del Carlino", at the "Jeepers Kart" go-kart track in Cattolica, taking part in a four wheeled mini-championship.

His competition? None other than Marco Simoncelli, Mattia Pasini and Andrea Iannone.

Coming out on top, of course, was the number 46 (or actually #22) who dominated from the pole... and even took part in a little podium ceremony afterwards!
