Yoshimura gives up on 2010

Yoshimura Suzuki has announced that they will not compete in the last two races of the 2010 WSBK championship. They have decided to forgo their planned race appearances to concentrate on the 2011 season.

The initial plan was to participate in three race meetings this year, and then follow it up with a full time entry in next seasons championship.

"The economic situation has been very tough after the crisis, and unfortunately the motorcycle markets and industries have been affected a lot since then - a statement from the company read - From this fact, we have chosen to put our current plans on hold, and then aim for other possibilities in the near future."

The team made its only WSBK appearance this season with Daisaku Sakai, at Monza, who pulled out of the event after suffering an injury.
