De Angelis racing at Misano with Jir

Alex De Angelis will return to action with Team Motobi Jir at Misano. For Alex it will not be a wild card, as is the case with Mattia Pasini who is riding a third bike for Italtrans, but rather a substitution.
The rider from San Marino will be taking the place of Teshima, the Japanese test rider of the TSR, who had taken over for Pasini.
De Angelis will be working with Pietro Caprara, a well known MotoGP crew chief who worked with Alex during his 250cc days with Aspar.
Caprara is not the only one De Angelis will be reunited with, as his Motobi teammate for the race is his former teammate from the 2005 team Aprilia Italia Corse 250 effort, Simone Corsi.
