Fabrizio Lai will make his Superbike debut next weekend at the Nurburgring. Team Echo-CRS will entrust their CBR1000 to the Italian, who raced with the team early on in last year's Supersport championship.  This year, Lai is competing in the CIV (Italian national championship) Supersport category.  He is now expected to compete in all three remaining WSBK rounds with Echo-CRS.

Broc Parkes, who reached a mutual agreement to part ways with Echo-CRS, will now make his first WSS appearance of the season at the Nurburgring, riding the Team Motocard.com Kawasaki, substituting for the injured Joan Lascorz.  For the Australian it is a return to a category where he has been quite successful in the past.
