COVID continues to dictate the law and consequently Dorna had to put hands on the calendar and revise it. Precisely for this reason, due to restrictions concerning the Drenthe Region, which do not allow events open to the public, the Assen round has been postponed to July, on the weekend of 23-25.

With the postponement of the TT round, the World Championship will therefore start on the weekend of May 7-9 on the Esterol track. This was one of the alternatives that Dorna had evaluated, so much so that it was anticipated a few weeks ago. In the end, the confirmation arrived today with the start in Portugal.

The second round will be in Aragon from May 21st to 23rd, followed by Misano, scheduled for June 11th to 13th. In July we fly to Donington, while in September there will be a double appointment in Spain between Barcelona and Jerez, preceded by Magny-Cours.

As pointed out by Dorna, the calendar is still provisional, so much so that there is still a question mark over the date of Australia and a round yet to be announced.

In total there are 13 rounds, COVID permitting.
