MotoGP, Gresini, high fever again, his son Lorenzo warns everyone: "Be careful"

Gresini’s son, Lorenzo, updated us via Facebook and sent a message: "They say it only affects people who have prior conditions or the elderly. But I know my father, and I assure you that, before this virus, he had always been a 59-year-old who was in perfect health."

MotoGP: Gresini, high fever again, his son Lorenzo warns everyone:

We’re following Fausto Gresini’s condition with some trepidation. He was hospitalized before Christmas for Covid-19 at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna. Along with the press releases issued by the team these days, we also received updates from his son, Lorenzo, whom we thank.

Just a few hours ago, the latest news was not reassuring, but knowing how strong Fausto is, we’re sure he’ll make it. We’d also like to take this time to remind everyone, especially young people, who are often an involuntary vehicle of contagion, to be very careful.

"Hello everyone. Yesterday, my father’s condition worsened, with a high fever. I don't want to dwell on explanations on social media. I’m mainly writing to update friends, near and far, who follow us but, above all, to raise awareness... They say that it affects people who have prior conditions or the elderly. But I know my father, and I assure you that, before this virus, he had always been a 59-year-old who was in perfect health, like many others. I also follow, and I’ve been told stories of, people who are 10-11 years younger than he is, in perfect health, who are now struggling and are in the same situation. This is to tell you to be extremely careful and, if you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for others. I’d like to send a heartfelt thought and hug to doctors, nurses, families, and anyone who’s fights against this invisible monster."
