Wayne Gardner, the first Australian 500 world champion in 1987, is seeing his son Remy grow up well. Here are his best wishes to his son on the day of the signing with Ktm.

"Well the Misano GP for Remy did not go to plan as after Qual P2 and a front row start and fastest in the morning warmup.

Unfortunately On the last lap in warmup the bike went sideways at 250kph and grip again and catapulted Remy high into the sky which he has been very lucky to only get a broken joint on this left thumb which needed immediate surgery today. Remy will stay in hospital in Barcelona  tonight and hopes to go home tomorrow after Dr Mir reviews his work.

Remy needs some rest and recovery before racing resumes soon. Get well soon Remy G87".
