MotoGP: Rossi after FP3s: “I had a small problem, but I rode well”

The Yamahas laid down the law in the FP3s at Misano, and their best was Valentino Rossi, with a best time, ahead of Quartararo and his teammate Vinales. The Doctor may have found his spark again, thanks to that Viagra pill ironically sits on his helmet.

“It was a good practice session, because I felt good with the bike and had a good pace.”  Valentino explained at the end of the session. “In the end, I had a little problem, and I also got a yellow flag in my fast lap. So, after a quick stop, I only had one last lap left to enter Q2, but I managed to push and ride well. We’re really happy with this first position.

Maverick Vinales is also satisfied with his performance in view of the qualifying session.

“I think a third place was a really good result,”  the Spanish rider said. “I tried the three tire options, so now I understand what I need for the race, which is the most important thing. The team is working really well. I’m trying to enjoy the bike and the time on the track. In qualifying, we want to focus on the front row. That’s our goal, but this afternoon we ‘ll also focus on the pace and try some different tires to see which one will be the choice for the race. In any case, the sensations are excellent, and the team is working really well.”
