SBK, Redding: "Portimao is almost a new track for me, but I'm in great shape"

"My feelings in the tests were good. I can't wait to start. Davies: "Lower temperatures than Jerez, I hope I can confirm myself among the best."

SBK: Redding:

He might have wanted more time to celebrate the Jerez weekend, but Scott Redding already has to prepare for another race weekend. In fact, the Superbike arrives in Portimao, and it's certainly going to be a great show. Redding will be arriving in Portugal as a world championship leader with 98 points, and he's ready to defend himself on a track that's all to be discovered.

Portimao is almost a new circuit for me. I raced here only once in my career," Scott said  "Then I returned for the January tests. I have to admit, though, that I had some good feelings. It's a track that I really like, that I find fun, and my feelings during the tests were positive.”

The English rider will still be able to count on the emotional drive of the Jerez round, where he won both Race 1 and Race 2. “We're coming from an exciting and satisfying weekend. I can't wait to get on my Ducati Friday morning.”

Chaz Davies also arrives in the Algarve with a smile. He returned to the podium right behind his teammate in Race 2 in Jerez. “I hope I can confirm the positive trend we had in Jerez de la Frontera. Since we got a good result last year on this track, finishing in second place in Race 1.

The Welsh rider must demonstrate that he has finally found the right confidence with his Ducati, since he'll be dealing with lower temperatures than those in Andalusia. “I'm sure we have all the credentials to do well. The weather conditions will be different than Jerez. We're ready and determined to facethis weekend," Chaz concluded.
