MotoGP: For using an 'illegal' R1 at Paul Ricard Quartararo suspended for 20 minutes in FP1

Fabio Quartararo will miss the first 20 minutes of FP1 on Friday at Jerez, after the Petronas Yamaha rider attended a hearing of the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel. The Frenchman contravened the regulation by training on June 18 and 19 on the Paul Ricard circuit using a Yamaha R1 that did not comply with the regulations, that is, with some parts not strictly standard (such as electronics).

Same penalty also for Moto3 rider Sergio Garcia, who had trained in Aragon with a bike that did not comply with the regulations.

Both drivers have the right to appeal.
