Everything is ready for the much-awaited start of the 2020 season, also at Ducati. The coming year is certainly a particular one for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, which is getting ready to say goodbye to Danilo Petrucci and which is still in negotiation with Andrea Dovizioso in view of 2021: for these reasons, each race will have a particular flavour, starting with the inaugural round in Jerez.

For his part, the Forli rider has not arrived in the best of condition at the opening round of the championship, thanks to the injury to his left collarbone he suffered in a motocross accident, but he immediately will have to try to make life a lot less easier than usual for Marquez. “After the collarbone operation, I continued to work hard to try to get as ready as possible for the Spanish GP. I feel pretty good, my feelings are positive, but until I get in the saddle of the Desmosedici GP, I don't know what my real conditions are.”

The heat will certainly complicate Andrea's plans, a variable that risks being fundamental for everyone. "We will have to get used to the heat of Jerez and given the short schedule, it will be even more important to be constant and make no mistakes. In any case, being able to see the team and to compete is what I want most right now!”

On the other side of the box there will be, as mentioned, the man on his way out - Danilo Petrucci - who starts his season with a desire to show his true worth both to those who have abandoned him (Ducati) and to those who are ready to welcome him, that is KTM.“It will be a strange championship: the atmosphere in the paddock is very different from the one we are normally used to, but we know that our fans will also support us from home and for this we will give our best as always! The last time I got in the saddle of the Desmosedici GP bike was at the end of February, so in addition to Wednesday's test, every minute out on track will be precious to be able to find the feeling with the asphalt.”

The man from Terni also underlines the importance of starting well and not making mistakes, having to face two races on the same track.“We will be in Jerez for two consecutive weekends, so it will be doubly important to be able to get good results this weekend. I'm very motivated and can't wait to get out on track and get back to work!"
