On June 16th, 1942, the greatest rider of all times was born: Giacomo Agostini. No adjective can describe his career. The numbers are impressive: 15 world titles won, 123 races, 162 podiums, 18 Italian titles, 10 Tourist Trophies. Simple statistics that only give an idea of what Mino has represented, and still represents, for motorcycling.

Agostini was the forerunner of all modern champions. His professionalism is still an example for those who approach our sport. In these cases, it’s all too easy to fall into the rhetoric of celebrations, so we want to wish him a happy birthday by proposing a very recent chat with him.

Giacomo (virtually) opened the doors of his Bergamo Trophy Room to us , where many of his  trophies are on display, along with some of his bikes (the MV Agusta but also the Yamaha), and many other memorabilia, from suits, helmets, to his notebooks, where he wrote all the secrets of every circuit when telemetry was not even imaginable.

In the video above, Ago talked to us about his past, his great opponents, and his bikes, but also about the present MotoGP, which he still follows with a passion.

Enjoy this journey through history, while we wish Giacomo the best for his birthday. Naturally, at full throttle.
