Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG/ Chairman of the Board of Management of the VW Passenger Cars brand has expressed on linkedin his thoughts on the new Ducati Streetfighter V4. With a surprising capacity for synthesis, and without being too partisan, he expressed the merits and defects of the new Bolognese 'beast'.
"On the road with the Ducati Street Fighter V4 S. A beautiful Italian piece of art. Extremely agile, very precise riding, excellent brakes, good ergonomics, precise gearbox. It lifts the front wheel very easily! Too much power for a naked bike – far too much! So what! Congrats to Claudio Domenicali and his team for this great machine!
The V4 is definitely the right engine for a modern Ducati. Revving smoothly and very powerfully close to 15.000 rpm, feels like Formula 1! For me, it’s a bit too loud in idle mode. Markus Duesmann shares that impression as far as I know.
