SBK, Suzuka 8 Hours, Yamaha withdraws official team

Iwata suspends its participation in the event scheduled for July 19th that still risks being cancelled

SBK: Suzuka 8 Hours, Yamaha withdraws official team

For Japanese constructors, but not only them, the Suzuka 8 Hours is almost the holy grail of motorcycle racing . Participating and winning it is everyone's goal. Winning it for four consecutive editions is almost a dream, a dream that Yamaha experienced from 2015 to 2018 with its official team and an R1 prepared to perfection by its engineers.

This year, however, the official team will not be participating in the classic Endurance race, scheduled for July 19th and that still risks being cancelled due to the Coronavirus emergency. So Yamaha has reached an important decision THAT, in fact, unless other withdrawals occur, passes the "representative" baton to the Yamaha YART Team that will bring Niccolò Canepa, Marvin Fritz, and Kohta Nozane to the track.

To talk about this, but also much more, we'll have Roberto Rolfo in our daily LIVE at 6:00 pm tomorrow.
