MotoGP, Marc Marquez: "I’ve been training on the PlayStation: I want to win"

Brother Alex remains the favourite for the second Virtual Race: "The first corner will be exciting, Bagnaia and Quartararo the most dangerous opponents"

MotoGP: Marc Marquez:

At Mugello the winner was a rookie and the world champion didn't even get on the podium. Even though it was a virtual race, Marc Marquez doesn’t like to lose, and he wants to take revenge on his brother and teammate Alex, who dominated the Mugello GP. He will have the opportunity to make amends on Sunday, when the second race at the Red Bull Ring will start at 15.00 CET.

Marc has been glued to the PlayStation these days to better prepare for the race and not to look bad, also because he will also have to face some new opponents, including Valentino Rossi and Danilo Petrucci.

“Well, since the last race I have stepped up my training a bit more” he admitted. “When you’re a racer you want to win no matter what you are doing but most importantly this is for the fans. It’s nice to have something else to focus on alongside physical training. Everyone seemed to really enjoy watching it last time so it should be another funny race. Let’s see what happens at the Red Bull Ring!”

For sure Alex will be the man to beat and he too has prepared himself for the new challenge.

“It will be nice to put on another show, but I think lots of the others will have been training harder!" he warned. "I’ve been practicing again at the Red Bull Ring, it’s quite different to Mugello with a lot of heavy braking. In Mugello we saw a lot of people were on the limit, so I think Turn 1 of the race could be very exciting! It will be interesting to see how everyone has improved, but I still think Pecco and Fabio will be a big challenge.”
