The stakes are set for the Petronas team in the Moto3 for the 2020 season and now, after taking on Xavi Vierge, the announcement regarding their agreement with Jake Dixon. The British rider came straight out of the British Superbike championship, and 2018 was his debut year in the world championship. The 23-year-old is currently with Angel Nieto's team, in KTM, and only scored points in the Netherlands thanks to a 12th place.

"I'm excited to join the Petronas Sprinta Racing team, and I can't wait to get on the bike," commented Dixon. It's clearly a great team. All you have to do is look at their successes in the MotoGP and the Moto3 to understand it. It's a great opportunity for me, and I'll definitely give it my all to do my best. 2019 wasn't easier than other years, but I learned a lot, and it gives me a good basis for 2020. The Kalex is a good bike, and it'll be nice to ride one. I don't know what my goals will be until I try the bike and start the season thinking about each race. I'll know what will be possible after the tests, but now that I have a fantastic team behind me. I want to fight for the podium by the end of the season."
