SBK: Davies: "The fall? My mistake, but we're working on it."

Chaz Davies' misfortune continues. In fact, not even Thailand seems to have changed the fortunes of the Welsh rider for now, who ended up falling twelve laps from the end and was forced to close in 15th position. Numbers that clash with Chaz's talent, among the most successful on the grid, but that really show us that negative moment.

"My start was not bad and, in the first few laps, I was able to turn at a good pace and overtake Cortese to try to get into the race for the podium. I thought this was a possible objective today. Unfortunately, I lost the front after I entered too aggressively in Turn 3. It was simply my mistake."

Taking stock, Chaz looks at the bright side but remains aware that the road is long.

"I saw a small improvement. Obviously, it's not enough. We must go the next step further. We didn't have the pace for the podium, but we were close, certainly more than before, so we are growing. It takes time to adapt, but this doesn't mean that I'm not giving it my all to do it."

Davies specifies that he's not the only Ducati rider that's having problems, but the desire to work still prevails.

"Alvaro is making a difference, while I and the others are struggling, so we have to work without thinking too far ahead and thinking about what others have to  say.  I still don't feel completely at ease on the bike, so we'll work on that without neglecting the other details that will help us progress."

All that remains is to think about tomorrow, and the two scheduled races: "For tomorrow, we'll try to further modify my riding position and the balance of the bike, trying to get a better feel."
