On Wednesday we will finally see him back on board the Honda during the Sepang tests. People are curious to see how Marc Marquez performs, having undergone shoulder surgery in December. Spanish publication Marca ran an interview with the seven-time champion.

Among the many subjects raised, that of Valentino Rossi stands out. #93 was asked whether he'd be prepared to offer his hand to the Doctor again and he didn't mince his words: “I already did it, didn't I?  -he states– not any more. I've done it once and that's enough. I don't bear any grudge against him, actually I admire him for what he's doing, I'd like to reach his age and be that fast. I'm also sure he'll be a great rival on track”.

There is also mention of Maverick Vinales, who will race with a new number this season: I'm not a superstitious person. I am also not obsessed with beating one particular rival, as that would only be counterproductive”. And Jorge Lorenzo: “I'm sure that he will be in the mix for the title. We didn't have an easy relationship with Jorge in 2013 but the situation is different now. After Aragon we immediately cleared the air on the phone. He is my team-mate but he's also my first rival to beat. Together we'll raise the level of competitiveness”.

Despite his seven titles, Marc is still hungry: “The Honda is the bike to beat because it has won the last three world titles, but every time the season starts, I don't feel like the championship, as a new year begins at Losail. Now we'll start testing in Malaysia, I know I won't be 10% but the aim is to be at that level in time for the first race”.
