MotoGP: Crutchlow: I deserved this win

On the rain spotted Termas track, Cal Crutchlow – British and "used" to such conditions – powered the LCR Honda to victory, ahead of the two factory bikes of Marquez and Pedrosa.

Cal fought like a lion, waiting for the right moment to carry out the all-important attacks: after Miller's mistake, #35 also got past Zarco, while Rins was no real threat. He took a more cautious approach on the final lap, as it would have been very easy to crash.

Able to stay upright, he scored his third GP win:"I knew that I had to attach 3 or 4 laps from the end and I knew it would be tough. I was proved right."

A tough battle, in which you came out on top.

“Yes but it wasn't easy. I'm really happy, for myself, the team, Lucio Cecchinello  and for Honda, that has really done a great job in supporting me. Fighting for the win was my main aim for the weekend, though I knew that Marquez had been consistently fastest. I played my cards, making the most of the wet lines, perhaps taking a few risks. All things considered, I think I deserved this win”.

Are you enjoying your success or already focusing on Austin?

Both - we'll try to repeat that performance in Texas, with the aim of fighting for the podium. Today it was hard to stay upright, it was slippery and easy to make a mistake. Our rivals were fast and tough to beat, the start send everything into chaos. I had fun and took a few calculated risks. Today's win was really... heart-stopping”.
