MotoGP: Ducati frightens Pedrosa: "They are already ready"

Losail is not exactly a track that suits the characteristics of the Honda well and we had confirmation of that again today. There are three Ducatis and two Suzukis in the top five spots, whereas Marquez and Pedrosa were forced to play catch-up. Dani has absolutely no intention of giving up before it’s time, since tomorrow he expects to take a step forward.

“I must say that compared to the tests, the track conditions were different. In fact, I found less confidence – the rider began, ready to achieve the landmark of his 200th MotoGP race – In any case, I am satisfied with the work the team has done, particularly with the tyres.”

Dani mentioned the tyres.

“There is a wide range of choices for the race – he commented – The medium tyre could definitely be an opportunity that will be chosen by various riders, but I prefer to wait until Saturday to understand the situation better.”

As we said, Honda is called on to play catch-up, but the gaps are not that wide

We still need to work on the bike’s settings since we are not entirely competitive in an area – the Spaniard said – Right now, Ducati is ready already, but we saw other fast riders today too.”

Pedrosa knows where to focus

“It was not a special Friday – he concluded – so we will need to work to improve pace and performance, particularly the balance of the bike on corners.”
