SBK, De Angelis-Kawasaki: first contact in Almeria

The Pedercini rider makes his début on the ZX-10R at the Spanish tests: "I found confidence on the new bike straight away"

SBK: De Angelis-Kawasaki: first contact in Almeria

While the second day of tests wound down on Sunday in Portimão, in Almeria Alex De Angelis began his experience with Pedercini. The rider from San Marino rode the Kawasaki that he will have on the starting grid this season onto the track.

In Spain, the dry track and mild temperatures definitely favoured the former Ioda rider’s début, on the track along with Jeremy Guarnoni. At the end of the two days, the satisfaction was clear to see on De Angelis’ face: “We tested around the new circuit – the rider revealed – so it was an unknown for me. We were able to do at least fifty laps – he added – plus, they let us ride the circuit alone for the last two hours, which helped to grow my confidence on the bike.”

The San Marinese is confident: “We tested different tyres to see how the bike would perform, gaining confidence – he concluded – it is nice to see how much the times decrease without having to push. If we can continue like this in Jerez I will be very satisfied.”
