MotoGP: Iannone: "Suzuki doesn't leave me a moment to catch my breath"

The sensation is that of a small step backward, because the performance today did not quite sit well with Andrea Iannone. Despite his top ten time in FP2, The Maniac has the same problems that came out in the finale of the GP of Australia. So, a change needs to be made as soon as possible.

“This morning I struggled in the dry – number 29 began – I did not use the new tyre, unlike a lot of other riders, but the sensations are not positive.”

The Italian rider goes into the problems.

“Unfortunately, I am unable to accelerate as I would like to and I am suffering too much with spinning on the rear – he analysed – plus, I am struggling to turn well on the corners.”

In the wet, things don’t seem to be much better.

Coming out of the corners, I feel the Suzuki sliding too much and it lacks power – he continued – Unfortunately, I am unable to slow down well, so I need to figure out how to improve.”

And then there are the track conditions that don’t help.

“The track has gotten worse since the winter tests – he recalled – Obviously, I know the bike better, but the problems are the same as the ones in Australia, especially in the final laps.”

Iannone does not mince words.

When you have to battle for the win or for the podium, you cannot always be at the limit – he pointed out – whereas that is exactly what we have to do, since I cannot find even a moment to manage or to catch my breath.”
