MotoGP: Iannone: in Australia I'll really understand our level

Iannone is in high spirits as he arrives in Australia, because his performance last weekend served to boost the Italian's morale. The Maniac opts for continuity, aware that the weather may well have an effect, just as it did in Japan.

“I'm happy to be straight back on track because we can understand whether we've really been able to improve  –comments #29 – there are no real revolutions for the season finale, but I now have a different level of confidence with the bike. There's great enthusiasm within the team, and this gives us awareness”.

In terms of his Motegi result, some are asking to what extent the rain influenced Andrea's fourth-place finish.

“During the season we've experienced rain in other situations and I struggled. In Japan though, I was able to keep up with the fastest riders and it was very different to other weekends. We not have to prove ourselves in the dry, this is the next challenge”.

In Australia there is once again a risk of unfavourable weather, despite the sun having shone in Victoria up until yesterday.

I think it would be hard to find tougher conditions than we had at Motegi - concluded Iannone - I just hope it's not too cold, because in that case you can't understand where the limit is in terms of grip”.
