MotoGP: Aragon: Ducati has fasted for seven years

Aragon will be a special weekend, as it will be the setting for the 900th GP in the history of the world motorcycling championship. Here are all the figures regarding round fourteen.

- 2017 marks the eighth consecutive year that Motorland hosts a GP. The championship has visited Alcañiz every year since 2010 and is the sixth Spanish track to host a world championship round after Jerez, Catalogna, Jarama, Montjuïc and Valencia.

- The first race to be held at Motorland was won by Casey Stoner on the Ducati, to date the only win for the Bolognese bike at this track.

- Honda has triumphed at Aragon on four occasions: in 2011 with Stoner, in 2012 with Dani Pedrosa and with Marc Marquez in 2013 and 2016.

- Yamaha has won twice in Alcañiz, with Jorge Lorenzo in both 2014 and 2015.

- Suzuki's best result at Motorland was a fourth place finish for Maverick Viñales in 2016.

- Aragón is one of five tracks running in an anti-clockwise direction, together with Austin, Sachsenring, Phillip Island and Valencia.

- With his win at Misano, Marc Marquez ties with Jim Redman for tenth place in the list of riders with the most podiums.

Stats regarding the first thirteen races of the season

- With Marquez's win at Misano, Honda is now ahead in the manufacturer's standings, with a five-point lead over Yamaha and 17 over Ducati. The closest ever points between the top three manufacturers in the MotoGP era.

- #93 now lies first in the standings, but has the same points as Andrea Dovizioso. This is the sixth change in leadership so far this season.

- Andrea Dovizioso needs just one point to reach 200 and match Casey Stoner's record, world champion with Ducati in 2007 and, again with the Italian bike, ahead in the standings in 2010. His third place finish at Misano was Dovi's fortieth podium, equaling Barry Sheene's tally.

- The points difference between Marquez – Dovizioso and Maverick Viñales is 16. The closest top-three fight since 1993.

- Johann Zarco only scored one point at Misano, pushing his bike across the line. The Frenchman now has a 26-point lead over the second placed rookie, his team-mate Jonas Folger, and he also leads in terms of the satellite riders' standings, ahead of Danilo Petrucci.

- Alex Rins, eighth at Misano, scored his best finish so far in this, his first MotoGP season.
