You sometimes hear of odd crimes, but this one involving Valentino Rossi must qualify for the top ten. As reported by Il Resto del Carlino, an employee at the Ospedali Riuniti in Ancona, where the Doctor was taken immediately after his enduro accident, has apparently gone into the hospital's digital archive to find the 9-time champion's medical report.

This ‘souvenir hunter’ appears to have downloaded the x-ray images of Rossi's fractured tibia and fibula and then released them externally. A photo of Valentino's presumed x-ray was circulating on social networks a few days ago, although those images have now strangely disappeared.

This wasn't just a simple prank though and the hospital was quick to open an investigation, followed by the Ancona Postal Police, who are now looking into the case.

Perhaps the reckless employee should have just settled for a selfie with the champion.
