MotoGP: Brno: Marquez chases Hailwood's 37 wins in the top class

The world championship is all set to return after a month's break. The last round took place at the Sachsenring, where Marc Marquez once again showed off his significant talents to score what was his eighth consecutive win at the German track.

With that latest triumph, the Spaniard collected his 31st win in the reigning class, equaling Eddie Lawson. The Honda rider now sets his sights on Mike Hailwood's 37 wins, one less than Casey Stoner. The overall record belongs to Valentino Rossi, with 89, or rather 21 more than Giacomo Agostini.

The Sachsenring weekend also saw Dani Pedrosa return to the front, closing the race in third place. That podium in Germany was number 108 for the Spaniard, who ties with Jorge Lorenzo. In this special classification, the two fellow countrymen lie in second place, behind leader Valentino Rossi, on 189.
