MotoGP: New asphalt for the Jerez track

We spoke only yesterday about the work needed at the Barcelona track before it can host the GP in 2018 while today the Diario de Jerez website announces that the Andalusian track is also about to get a new surface.

The work has already been contracted out and will take place over the summer, to be completed by the end of August. 835,000 euro has been invested in the project that will see the entire track resurfaced, pit-lane included, as well as run off areas modified and the metal barriers on the inside of the Angel Nieto corner replaced.

The first event to take place on the new-look track will be the CEV in September, while in October the Superbikes will be able to appreciate the work as they compete at the Spanish round.
