Chaz Davies is already on the road to recovery after being involved in an accident that saw him run over by a blameless Rea during Saturday's race.

The Ducati SBK team has stated on Twitter that the rider has been examined by specialist Doctor Catani, with a positive outcome. The Brit will now undergo physiotherapy with the aim, and likelihood, of being able to race at Laguna Seca, taking place over the weekend of 7-9 July.

We remind you that Davies fractured his third lumbar vertebra, also suffering contusions to his left thumb.

Further updates as to the rider's condition will be issued in coming weeks.
