The MotoGP lands in Spain and Marc Marquez is aiming to put the disappointment of Le Mans and Mugello firmly behind him. Two races in which the five-time champion scored just ten points. Not enough for someone like him, who is chasing the title. The Catalonia round is a perfect opportunity to turn things around: “I'm really pleased to race in front of my home crowd next weekend because that always spurs me on – commented the Honda rider: in Italy I had to manage a situation that wasn't easy in the best way but now we need to be consistently at the top level."

#93 knows exactly what to do: "the Barcelona test was positive – commented Marc, who hasn't won at home since 2014 – I completed a great deal of laps, improving the set-up and we'll be concentrating on that”.

With respect to past editions, Montmelò now features a new layout: “It will be interesting and challenging at the same time – he analysed – we'll need to interpret it effectively. The speed and turns are practically the same through the rest of the track but this modification is so unique that I like it”.

In the Honda camp, Dani Pedrosa also hopes to turn the page. After the disappointment of last week, when he crashed in the final stages, also involving Cal Crutchlow, #26 is keen to make up for that: “We're working hard to get back to the previous level of the Mugello race – he stated –the data collected during the last test in Spain will definitely be useful ahead of next weekend's race”.

He's not put off by the new track layout: “Two weeks ago, we focused on set-up but I also learned the new chicane -  he revealed – in that sector, the track is narrower, but times don't really change much. It's pretty bumpy though  – he warned –this is an aspect to bear in mind. We'll be ready to give 100%”.
