MotoGP, Zarco: "My M1 has what it needs to reach the podium at Mugello too"

Folger: "I need to try and be competitive right away this time with no hanging around"

MotoGP: Zarco:

He's proved to be something of a revelation through the early part of this season and he has no intention of stopping now. Johann Zarco, after the podium at Le Mans, dreams of repeating the feat at Mugello. The Tuscan track may not be similar in layout to the French one, but that's irrelevant as the Tech3 rider is confident: “I'm highly motivated ahead of this race, but need to keep my feet on the ground as I still have a lot to learn– he commented – Mugello is very different to Le Mans, there's only one hard braking point, while the rest is flowing, it will be interesting to see how competitive I am”.

He has clear ideas though: “I like this track and am dreaming of another podium – he reveals – the Yamaha has the potential to achieve this goal and it would be great for the team”. Basically, Zarco wants to continue to amaze, as does his team-mate Jonas Folger.

The German is ready to turn the page after the last GP: “Unfortunately my performance in qualifying at Le Mans conditioned the race - he recalls – at Mugello I need to try and be competitive right away, I'm determined and can't wait to get on track”.

Folger trusts in his M1: “I think the track suits our Yamaha well – he concludes – I'm ready and confident ahead of this weekend.”
