SBK: Ten Kate: "Hayden, an example for emerging talents"

The passing of Nicky Hayden has been very hard for the Red Bull Honda team, competing in World Superbike, to deal with. Ronald Ten Kate said a few words about the deceased rider: “It's a real shock for me – commented the team manager – but also for the entire team, the Superbike paddock, the whole racing world really. We had the pleasure of working with Nicky for just a year and a half, but this was long enough to realise that he was a charismatic guy, very hard working, but above all pure and genuine. This was Nicky!”

Ten Kate added: We will all miss him, but he will be an example for all the youngsters who dream of reaching the top, just as he did. Our sympathies are with the Hayden family and Jackie and we hope that they find the strength needed to get through this difficult time. Rest in peace Nicky Hayden”.
